İt’s a nice museum but I should say that it’s more an exhibition area. It didn’t match my expectations.

Great modern art museum with changing exhibitions. I enjoyed the exhibition on Carol Rama (1918-2015), a pioneering Italian woman artist who only got recognized late in life. Rama definitely had a her own style although her triptych reminded me of Francis Bacon (1909-1992). Her artworks included both figurative and abstract works. The artist lived her entire life in Turin. Today I had a chance to visit the new temporary home of the Schirn in Bockenheim (while the main home is being renovated). The temporary home has a nice industrial flair. I also enjoyed the current exhibition on Thomas Bayrle (born 1937), a pioneer of digital art. I especially enjoyed his take on Philip Johnson (1906-2005).

Loved the idea behind this particular gallery based on unorthodox musical instruments. But I give 4 not 5 because it should be more clear to the public that to really enjoy the soul of the musical instruments mixed into your living space you had to be there for certain times of the day on certain times of the week. I saw a guitar made completely from parts of guns... Very cool

Amazing exhibition space, I've attended the Casablanca School exhibition, although the entrance and orientation was hard to follow, especially by the entrance and exit. The overall experience was pretty nice.

Was lucky to visit the retrospective of Hans Haacke there during its last week. The overall impression is very good: detailed and non-obvious curatorial texts and extremely friendly and nice staff. Would be coming back when I’m in Frankfurt.
